SPRING MISSION - PDA HYGIENE KITS

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. It enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crises and catastrophic events. One of the ways that congregations can get involved in a tangible way, to is to create “Gift of the Heart Kits”. These kits are distributed by PDA where they are most needed in the world, both national and internationally. Hygiene Kits are often the most in demand, so the OVPC Mission Committee would like to announce a spring project that entails the collection of these kits. We would like to encourage the congregation to create Hygiene kits at home, and bring them to church on Sunday mornings from May 10th through June 21st. PDA is very specific about the items to be contained in these kits, so we have provided a detailed list for your use. There
will be a collection box in the back of the Sanctuary clearly marked, “Gift of the Heart Kits”. The Mission Committee thanks you in advance for your support.
