BETHANY BEACH STONE HOUSE

HOMELESS SHELTER

The Stone House located at the Bethany Beach Christian Church will open its doors on November 13 for the 2015-2016 winter season.  This shelter, administered by Soul Ministries of Bethel Tabernacle Church will provide residential services and respite care for 14 homeless men until March 31, 2016.

Volunteers are needed to provide a spiritual program for residents to include Bible study and/or an evening Devotional following dinner.  Area churches and businesses will assist by providing lunch and and evening meal seven days a week.  OVPC has volunteered to provide the evening meal every Saturday. 

This year, in addition to housing and meals the following classes will be offered to strengthen program values for the Stone House residents:

Monday:        Life Skills including basic computer skills, resume writing, job interview skills, etc.

Tuesday:       Residents will volunteer at local churches.

Wednesday:  Craft Day

Thursday:      Life Skills / Computer Skills

Friday:           Residents will volunteer at local churches

Saturday:       Craft Day

To support these programs, Soul Ministries is seeking help with staffing 3 shifts

          9 am to 1 pm

          1 pm to 5 pm

          5 pm to 9 pm

Stone House will also need  supplies to sustain everyday living.  To volunteer, donate supplies, or make a contribution please contact Bruce Hobler through the church office.
